January 2020 President's Letter
I'm a firm believer in setting goals. This time of year, we like to call them "New Year's Resolutions." Yet as business owners, monthly goal setting should be a part of ongoing practice and is much more effective than a once-a-year resolution.
Personally, each month I set 4 goals: one professional goal, one personal goal, one contribution goal, and one self-honoring goal. I also meet with a small mastermind group each week to stay on track. We encourage and support each other.
Something I consistently see is a reluctance to set goals because of the fear of failure. After all, what if we set a goal and don't reach it? Support is critical, especially for accountability, which is why a mastermind group is such a great tool.
One of the reasons I participate in WEO is because of the like-minded women whom I meet. We celebrate our victories, learn and grow together, and pick one another up when we fall.
During this season of resolutions, I encourage you to bring people into your life who will keep you on track as you reach for that next level of success in your life and business.
