June President's Letter

I heard a startling statistic today...that we've just experienced the driest May since 1947. Now obviously this is a weather statistic, but I wonder how it translates to other areas of our lives. How's your business climate? Has this been a springtime marked by flourish and growth, or have things been a little sparse, maybe a little dry? Where days and weeks without rain require us to irrigate and replenish our gardens, how do we properly tend our businesses?

For me, it's been a month of trying new avenues of marketing, making new contacts, and thinking more creatively about how to grow my business. I'm forcing myself to branch out a bit in hopes of finding new revenue streams. I'm reading success stories, listening to interesting podcasts, and surrounding myself with leaders and influencers in my industry. And you know what? It's working! The phone is ringing, numbers are creeping up and my staff is being inspired by this growth.

How about you, my WEO sisters? Are you ready to grow your business? Are you looking for something new to invigorate profits? After the driest spring in many of our lifetimes, I think we are all ready for something new, and as fate would have it, our June WEO meeting could be just the flood of ideas and resources you're looking for! We have assembled a panel of experts to help you cultivate the growth you desire. Women from PTAC, WBEC and Mercy Corps are bringing us the knowledge and the know how to expand, certify, and grow our businesses.

This is an important meeting, and one you do not want to miss. In fact, this is the type of meeting you'll want to invite other women to attend. Have a friend that's new in business or hoping to grow an existing enterprise? Our June meeting will take the guess work out of where to start. Tickets are available now, links are on our website and Facebook, or you can find us on EventBrite.

And if you're still reading this, let me just say...after June's meeting, after we've all discovered valuable certifications and government contracts, we'll need to regroup. We will need to gather again to celebrate those sprouting opportunities and growing numbers. And our July Summer Social will be just the party we need!

Rock on WEO Sisters,
